Each time the freshly prepared Good Karma Guacamole is ordered, Blue Mesa donates 50 cents to the following charities: Lena Pope Home, Mesa Hermanos, Operation Kindness, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation. Guacamole is essentially a staple in most Texans’ diets. Blue Mesa, who happens to serve the best Mexican food in the area, understands that and wants to give others the opportunity to contribute to their community through their restaurant orders.
Blue Mesa’s Chosen Charities
Lena Pope Home is a place that desires to help create hope, happiness, and success for children and their families through counseling and education. Their mission is to ensure these families the essentials necessary for a successful and productive future. Also, through the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program, Lena Pope provides education to students who have struggled to succeed on their home campuses. Next, the Mesa Hermanos program assists long term kitchen employees of Blue Mesa Grill with financial hardships. Through this program, they have been able to help cover medical expenses and college tuition. Operation Kindness is another of Blue Mesa’s partnering charities. They are the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas and have saved more than 75,000 animals since they began. This non-profit organization aims to provide quality and compassionate care for homeless or unwanted cats and dogs until they are adopted into a loving home. Last, Blue Mesa has chosen to partner with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation. In doing so, they are working to advance Texas’ proud outdoor traditions and conserve the state’s wildlife, habitat, and natural resources.
