We’re a family restaurant — always have been
Blue Mesa began in 1988 when my husband Jim and I opened our first restaurant in Addison. Jim had a big vision: to bring bold Southwestern flavors to a relaxed, welcoming space where everyone could feel at home. We wanted great food and hospitality without the formality — something colorful, casual, and full of life.
More than three decades later, that vision still guides us. Our son Zak now leads the company, bringing his own spark and new ideas while keeping the Blue Mesa spirit alive and evolving.
We’re lucky to have incredible people who’ve grown with us — whole families who’ve worked side by side in our kitchens and dining rooms. That sense of connection and community is at the heart of everything we do.
